What’s FirstServe?

It’s a gap programme designed to give you a taste of service in the UK and overseas. Not only will you have the chance to help, support and encourage others, but FirstServe includes a discipleship and missions training programme for you.

How does FirstServe work?

When you join FirstServe you will begin with two weeks of training, followed by experience in a local UK church. After serving at home, you will go abroad for your overseas placement. We will make the arrangements for your programme, including organising your UK church placement and all overseas logistics, and we will also provide support, mentoring and a time of debrief when you return home. Your time with FirstServe can range anywhere from 4-9 months depending on your schedule and finances.

Can I join?

Are you 18-25 and looking for a missions opportunity? Yes? Then this is the programme for you!

How soon can I join?

The programme starts in September and February of each year. Applications are currently being accepted and processed for September 2013 and February 2014.
